The Narrow and Wide Gates
13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 7:13-14
Welcome to the Narrow Trail Cowboy Church website!
In the Wild West, cowboy church services were a thread that kept not just families but communities together during difficult times, and a tradition of inclusion that continues to live on today.
We’re keeping the
cowboy church tradition at
Narrow Trail Cowboy Church.
As we continue a long western tradition, we are a non-judgmental, non-denominational service open to all.
Whether you wear boots or a suit,
God looks on the heart ...
so come as you are!

Eight Years of Serving God
October 30th, 2012
In a few days, Texas, the Nation, the World, and Narrow Trail Cowboy Church in the name of Jesus Christ celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Dale Evans. She was born Frances Octavia Smith in Uvalde, Texas on October 31, 1912, and live in the communities of Italy, Texas, Blytheville, Arkansas, then across the Mississippi River, where she pursued a career in music in Memphis, Tennessee, where she adopted the stage name Dale Evens, which she would keep forever. After performing for a brief period as a big band jazz singer in Chicago, she returned as a member of a morning radio program ‘The Early Bird Show’ on W.F.A.A. in Dallas, Texas. Her music skills, plus her Texas heritage, created an opportunity to co-star as a leading lady in a western movie musical with a popular box-office cowboy movie star named Roy Rogers. The chemistry of Roy Rogers and Dale Evens resulted in 26 feature films, a 5-year television run and a marriage that lasted more than half century, till death did they part. Her legacy is a classic cowgirl who was acclaimed at ‘The Queen of the West’, among whose song compositions were ‘Happy Trails’ and ‘The Bible Tells Me So’.
